The word of God is wisdom from above

The Word of God can not be broken it is the sword of the Spirit and the wisdom that is from above. Quick and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. It is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. It is gentle, and right, the gospel of peace, the way of wisdom, rejoicing the heart. It is the word of truth and the word of life sweeter than honey and its ways are pleasant, it is healing and gentle, giving understanding, and deliverance. The word of God is more to be desired than gold and more precious than rubies. The word of God is peaceful and easy to be intreated, perfect, sure, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. The entrance of Gods word gives light and it endures for ever.

How to know if something comes from God

James 3:17

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

.
James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

.

3 John 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

.

James 1:13
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

..

Matthew 4:6-7

6 And (the Devil) saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in [their] hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

.

God can not be tempted (James 1:13) to tempt God in v.7 of Matthew 4 is to do something stupid and say God will protect me.

Remember James 1:17b “with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning”.

God has already announced His intensions.

.

Malachi 3:6a “For I [am] the LORD, I change not”

God is not the variable, we are.

The Word of God

The Word of God is perfect, sure, right, pure, clean, and true.

Psalms 19:7-9

7 The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul:

the testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple.

8 The statutes of the LORD [are] right, rejoicing the heart:

the commandment of the LORD [is] pure, enlightening the eyes.

9 The fear of the LORD [is] clean, enduring for ever:

the judgments of the LORD [are] true [and] righteous altogether.

Does God Love me? Posted May 6, 2008

If you do not think that God loves you, You are wrong and need to renew your mind by reading this over and over until you believe it.

.

God loves me and wants the best for me. He will never harm me, punish me, tempt me, forsake me, or leave me. He is my Heavenly Father, He wants me to know that He has delivered me from all my fears, He is my confidence, my counselor, my defence, my delight, my deliverer, my fortress, my goodness, my helper, my hiding place, my high tower, my hope, my light, my protector, my power, my redeemer, my saviour, my refuge, my rock, my salvation, my shelter, my shepherd, my shield, my song, my stay, my strength, my dwelling place, my strong tower, my trust, He is on my side, He chose me and called me by name before the foundation of the world and blessed me with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. His peace which passes all understanding, shall keep my heart and mind through Christ Jesus His only begotten son whom He sent that I might have life and through him I have access unto Him my Heavenly Father, whose word [is] a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Praying for guidance

Praying for guidance because you are not sure which direction to go is probably one of the most common prayers. Well here is a list of things God wants us to do to insure we are going in the right direction.

Be rooted and grounded in love.
Speak the truth in love.
Walk not as unbelievers walk, in the vanity of their minds.
Put off concerning the former conversation the old man.
Be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
Put on the new man.
Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
Let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
Grieve not the holy spirit of God
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children.
Walk in love.
Walk as children of light.
Prove what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.
Redeem the time, because the days are evil.
Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord [is].
Be filled with the Spirit;
Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; (Speaking in tongues)
Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear (respect) of God.
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
Husbands, love your wives.
Children, obey your parents in the Lord.
Do the will of God from the heart;
With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men.
Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Put on the whole armour of God.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
Having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, (speaking in tongues) and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

All these and many more come from the book of Ephesians and remember God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

1 Thessalonians

First Thessalonians is the first book written to us as Christians after Christs ascension and the day of Pentecost. I love the comfort and understanding it gives me dealing with what the future holds, about those who have died, what will happen to me when Christ returns, and the wrath to come.

.

Second Thessalonians Gives encouragement to the believers giving more information about the future, the gathering together when Christ comes back for his saints, the wrath to come when the son of perdition is revealed and when Christ comes back with his saints.

Led by the Spirit of God

Romans 8:14-18

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption,(sons of God) whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together.

18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Is there any thing too hard for me?

Jeremiah 32:27

Behold, I [am] the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
